As an API Application Engineer, you will work with our Microsoft development team on building brand new, customer-driven features that enhance the Fastpath suite, continuing to make our customers’ lives easier every day. At Fastpath, our primary source for new ideas and enhancements comes from listening to feedback from our customer base and turning that feedback into useful features within the application that help those customers maximize their productivity. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Build and enhance features in the Fastpath suite using C# .NET, Microsoft SQL Server along with other Microsoft programming languages
  • Review teammates’ pull requests in Azure DevOps to ensure code quality and encourage teamwork and collaboration
  • Actively participate in the design phase when building new features
  • Help test the current Fastpath suite to ensure quality and consistency within the application
  • Identify and translate customer needs into business requirements
  • Developing and managing features in a rolling monthly release cycle
  • Provide technical assistance on escalated customer support cases

Here are a few desired skills:

  • Experienced entry-level to mid-level (2-4 years) of software development experience
  • Experience with C# .NET or any .NET framework coding language
  • Familiar with or have experience with REST API’s / system integrations
  • Have a basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, including views, stored procedures, functions, entity relationships, and table structure
  • Familiar with Azure DevOps, and Git as a version-control system

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with any Microsoft Dynamics product (specifically AX/D365FO)
  • Experience with integrating with other Microsoft products (specifically Azure, Azure DevOps)
